Wine of the month
Zinio Seleccion de Suelos
Our flagship red and the wine we are proudest to pour. An old-vine Tempranillo from Rioja Alta, aged close to two years in oak: coffee, toffee and ripe bramble, long and elegant. A wine for a special table in good company.
Pairs with lamb chops
Three things to look for.
Every bottle on our list carries three cues: the grape, which tells you the style; the region, which tells you where it grew and often how ripe or restrained it will be; and a pairing, our suggestion for the dish it flatters. Tell us your preferred sweetness and spice and we will guide you from there.
The grapes
A grape guide.
The dozen grape varieties that make up most of our list, and the dishes they were made for.
